If your goal is to learn patience, do you fail if you learn quickly?

Yesterday, I had a friendly chat with a new WordPress.com user. She asked me how to become a better blogger, so I responded that it takes time, and she’ll improve as long as she keeps working at it and doesn’t give up. She then admitted that she needs to learn to be patient … to which I added that I hope it doesn’t take too long to learn. The irony of my response slapped me a few seconds later.
